As the title says, I'm possibly not going to be on for a little while, as some of you might be aware of, my PC which I had built late last year had been plagued with reliability problems. Last week I managed to get the system to successfully install the latest version of Windows 8 Ultimate, but things got worse from there. After changing out various parts to confirm my worse fears, it seemed the motherboard was shoot. As you can imagine I was pretty pissed off, as it was a brand new board. Anyway, I've ordered another board, which should be more user friendly in clocking the system to play warthunder at a really nice fps and detail level, butt it seems even though I asked for next day delivery yesterday morning, the parts are still not here! Once the board and other goodies turn up, I've got to decide on what system to install and then put on all the different programmes I use. I am hoping to be on for the end of the week and especially for "medication Friday" ! Hopefully I'll be back soon guys, but you at least you now know why I've not been on (real shitter as my backs been good enough for me to put some hours in at my desk this week). Cheers all, Dan

Well after some of the worse customer service possible, I find out early Thursday afternoon, when they finally call me that they didn't have the board I ordered in stock ( I ordered Monday morning @ 9am with next day delivery ) and that they needed to go over a number of possible alternatives. The very good news is that I am getting another Asus board, but this time it's the highly rated P5K-E/Wifi board. It seems that one or two of the capacitors started to leak, which is down to the stupid temps I put the system through when I was first building it. Sadly due to damage I did by accident to one of my SATA ports, I can't do a warranty claim The P5K-E/WiFi comes tomorrow morning and it should take me about a day to install the board and then do a fresh install of Windows. I'm going to use Windows 7 this time, because with the older CPU type I use ( a Q9550 , which is a quad core duo that runs at 2.83ghz with 12mbL2 cache, but can be safely clocked to 3.6-4.0 ghz ). The other good news is with this new board, I will be able to use DDR2 8500 , which allows me to run 1033+mhz RAM (old board I had to use DDR2 6500 @ 800mhz) and is actually a crossfireX board (this allows me to use x2 AMD cards and is more flexible than Nvidia's SLi), so I will run two cards allowing me to have a combined total of 4GB of DDR5 RAM with the AMD 7850 graphics card(s) that I use. There are a lot of extra passive cooling pipes and fins, so I should be able to run Warthunder on par with a i5 quad core. One last bit of good news is dad's said he is happy for me to have Warthunder installed on his very hit spec and very new PC, the problem is it's wifi only and out wifi router is just so slow but I can, in future play if my gaming PC is out of action ever again.(My laptop which I am posting on, has done 4 years at uni, so is pretty beat up and can't run the game), so once I get everything in order, I should be flying with the squad again tomorrow night or possibly Tuesday depending on how beat up my back feels from getting the system to work! It's been a bloody long and boring week not shooting down any Germans! "Spits on floor" See you all in the sky again real soon, Felix
